frequently asked questions

what are the ways that i can contribute to the magazine?

you can either apply to be an editor, or submit to have your work featured

what can i submit?

we accept poetry, prose, creative nonfiction and flash fiction less than 500 words, photography, digital art/graphic text, and physical art.

how often do you publish?

it is our first attempt at creating this, how often we publish is wholly dependent on how long it takes to create the first issue. we're aiming for 3-4 times a year, but nothing is set yet

where do i submit to? and what should i include?

please send all submissions to anthropocenemag@gmail.com. include your name, age, and tumblr or instagram handle. please don't send us questions through that email, instead use our tumblr ask box.

how do i know if i was accepted?

we'll send you an email. if you don't get one, assume that your work wasn't accepted (you can still submit work for future issued). we'll post on all our social media when we send out the emails so keep a look out for those.

can i put this on applications/resumes?

yes, this is a submission based project so feel free to include us on any applications

we were lucky enough to find a community of like minded people who were passionate about the same things we were, but many aren't that lucky. anthropocene is as much a community as it is a publication, and more than anything we want people to find connection in writing–whether to writing or other writers or both, we want to impact in any way we can.
